Phew this has been hard work. As you all know, I am in the first week of my kickstarter campaign to raise funding for the film. It has been hard spreading the word. Well spreading the word is easy, but it takes more time than I thought. I have sent private emails to about 50 people. Reached many many game companies for corporate sponsorship, including Wizards of the Coast. Hey go big or go home right? I have not heard from WoTC yet, but you never know.
Stino has been going crazy getting the blog transported over from blogger to wordpress and even dreams on getting a facebook page up. That will be cool, huh?
My research on kickstarter states you want to balance keeping your followers in the know but not bug them. I hope I have been doing that well. Let me know feel free to drop me a comment here or on my kickstarter.
I recorded a segment on the d6g which I am really happy on how it came out. I was really torn and wanted to be honest with myself. At the time of recording I had all of $950.00 pledged out of 42K. Yikes, I was embarassed and did not know what to say on the show. Well I wen’t with my old standby of when I was on the show “regular”, I went with guy and was just honest. I am happy with how it turned out. When it goes live, I will put the link to the d6g in here.
I do not play MMO’s or Xbox anymore. No time. Its editing the blog, or the next update, of responding to emails, or chatting with Brandon (cameraman), or deciding what to do on sound, “arguing” with naysayers on forum posts.
I have been able to get in a good ole’s standby for gaming though, and….wait for it….40K! Played some games of 5th before the new edition and you know what had fun. It was very nostalgic and a good way to blow off work and documentary steam.
